I was reading this book last week (finished over the weekend) about a woman who wins the lottery. She then takes a trip to Vegas and spends a heapload she doesn't actually have yet.
So, Friday night I dreamed I won the lottery. The jackpot and the whole deal.
I guess people were telling me to just start spending the money. You know, float it on my credit cards and such. I refused to until I got my first payout. So, I wait and wait and wait. I start to worry because I haven't heard anything.
Then one day I get this big white envelope from the lottery commission. Inside, I guess, was the paperwork I needed to sign and such. But I find a check for my first lottery payout of...$268. Or something like that. I just stared at the check thinking, "This isn't going to pay off my student loan."
Strange.
