Wal-Mart with a side of Michael Johns

I had three fairly vivid dreams last night. And strange ones.

The first one wasn't so vivid. Just strange. It started out that I was playing some video game. One of those "reality games" where you manage a supermarket. I had to check people through the check out line, put their groceries in a cart, help them out of the store, bring the cart back and then clean the cart for the next person. Suddenly, I was really working in a store. I believe it was Wal-Mart, but not sure. And it seems I was more than just a floor associate. My manager pulled me aside on my first day and gave me my tasks. The only thing I remember is she said there was no one working one department (I think it was Men's wear) and she told me to push all the carts for that department (go backs and returns) off into the pet department. She gave me a few more things and that was it.

Then after I woke up and was finally able to go back to sleep, I dreamed about Michael Johns again. This time I was actually AT a concert. Except this was a special concert or show. Not one where they all performed, but attended with everyone else. I was sitting in one section where I could sort of see off stage and I could see Michael. The person I was with (no idea who it was) told me Michael was forced to go to this show. "He was bribed," I was told. I looked over at him and he looked so pained like it was torturous for him to be there. Plus, he looked different. He had longer hair. Just slightly shaggy looking. He still looked handsome!

So then the contestants started walking on stage when prompted. The first was a girl I didn't quite recognize. I thought it might be Jennifer Hudson, but I don't think it was. I shook her hand (I was right next to the walkway, so all I had to do was stand and hold out my hand for her to shake) and she was visibly shaking. I congratulated her and she said, "I haven't done anything yet."

After that, Michael came to sit in the back of the audience. This was in my section. It was about 4 rows behind me and a couple of girls behind me started acting all "fanish" whispering and such. Someone next to them told them to not bother him and to not stare. They did which I believe the same person got them to stop. I watched him too, but not trying to be obvious.

Then he was called on stage and he got up and headed down to the stage. This time I wasn't near the stage like before but a few rows back. Now we were sitting in bleachers instead of theater seats. When he passed, he was really nice and shook hands with people. Me and the girl sitting next to me held out our hands and he leaned in to reach us. The person I was with was trying to hold me back a little by holding my arm, but this way I couldn't reach him. I shook them off and leaned in where Michael took my hand. You'd think I'd just won the lottery!

That's about all I remember of that dream, but I did remember the best parts!

Then early this morning right before I woke up, I had another jury duty dream. I was at work all set to have a Friday off. Then I was called to go in for jury duty. I had to go in halfway through Thursday and I knew I'd miss my day off. So I go down there and go through the whole first day back. It looked like there were fewer people than there should have been.

And then when the day was over, I wasn't sure it had actually happened. I questioned whether I should call into the call-in number and make sure I should be there and what time I needed to go. I then woke up.

In reality, I do believe the grand jury only meets on Wednesday and Thursday, so I wouldn't have had to give up my Friday off. Only rarely does it meet for a third day. But, I would probably not have taken that day off if I had had to deal with Jury Duty too. I'd have to do my make up work on that Friday.

Needless to say, Jury Duty still worries me.
